Hello Mustangs!
This is Dr. Paula Chamberlain, Principal at VHS, with our weekly update.
Wednesday-October 19th--PSAT 8/9, for more information please contact our counselors Please report at 7:20 a.m.
Thursday-October 20th-The Great Shake Out @10:20 a.m.
Friday-October 21st--Come out for our Senior Night Football game. Football and cheer are collecting items to be donated for chemo care packages. Donations will be accepted through the end of the month. Donations can be dropped off in the office or brought to the gate at this week's last home game.
Saturday-October 22nd-The Fall Festival from 10am-3pm, Food Trucks, Raffles, Game Booths and more.

ASB will also be selling and delivering Boo-grams for $1 and delivering during the 4th period. Send a Boo gram with a note to a special someone. They will go on sale Monday Oct. 17th
Finally, from ASB, a special shout out and thank you to our amazing women of PTSO who have generously donated a grand total of $3500 to our ASB Leadership and each graduating class. We thank you for your dedication to our school!

Registration PSAT/NMSQT Exam is now available. The PSAT/NMSQT exam provides 10th and 11th graders with the opportunity to practice for the SAT exam. Eleventh graders may also qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program based on their PSAT/NMSQT scores and can compete for national recognition and college scholarships. Students can utilize their score reports by connecting with Khan Academy for free personalized SAT test prep, linking with the career finder tool through College Board, and/or learning skills and areas in which they need more practice.
Registration forms are available in the front office, wellness center, and library. Students should submit their completed registration form and exam fees to Mrs. Villasenor in the front office by 3pm Tuesday, September 20th.
Regular exam fees: $20
Reduced exam fees: $5
Makes checks payable to "AADUSD" and write your student ID# on the check
Students are eligible for the PSAT Exam fee reduction if:
-Student is enrolled or eligible to participate in the Federal Free or Reduced-Price Lunch Program
-Student is in a foster home, homeless or migrant
-Student’s family receives public assistance
-Student’s family is at or below the poverty level (information available in counseling office)
See counseling for assistance if you are not sure if you qualify for the fee reduction. The PSAT/NMSQT Exam will take place during school on Wednesday, October 12th.
Registration for the SAT School Day Exam is now available. Seniors can register to take their SAT exam during school on Thursday, October 27th. Registration forms are available in the front office, wellness center, and library. Students should submit their completed registration form and exam fees to Mrs. Villasenor in the front office by 3pm Tuesday, September 20th.

Hello Mustangs!
This is Dr. Paula Chamberlain, Principal at VHS. We had a great week and I am enjoying getting to know everyone. I want to welcome all our Freshmen and students new to Vasquez and welcome back all our returning students. We are going to have a great year.

Your kids are amazing and I’m beyond grateful for all of our staff. We have a busy and fun week ahead. It’s our FIRST SPIRIT WEEK and we are ready to bring all the school spirit everyday.
