About Me:

I am excited to be a part of the High Desert Team. Teaching science and supporting students to find their strengths and grow as leaders is extremely rewarding. I am a life long learner and love to explore new places and travel with family, friends, and students. For me, there is no better way to learn, than to emerse myself in a new travel adventure. This past summer my family and I traveled to the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Turks & Caicos. I caught the love for travel in 9th grade when I spent 3 months living in Israel, as well as exploring Egypt, Scotland, and England. 

Experience in Education:

• 3 years teaching elementary school (Grades 3, 4, & 6)
• 15 years teaching Science
• 5 years teaching History
• 13 years as a National Curriculum Trainer for the Medal of Honor Character Development Program

Goals:

My goal this year is to challenge students to strive for academic excellence, by fostering a learning environment that promotes respect, compassion, and inclusivity. As students learn to navigate life this year, and prepare for high school and beyond, they are reminded to find joy in their journey along the way.
