• The High Desert School counseling department meets with each student every year to review and amend four-year plans to ensure alignment with college and career goals.  We employ many resources to facilitate this process, the most important of which are linked on the left of this page to benefit students and parents in the planning process.

The Academic Review is the central document for pacing and evaluating student academic progress each year.

The Aeries Portal link provides instructions to parents or students on the process of creating an account through which grades can be tracked.

Grade Reports provides the dates on which academic marks are submitted and released to individuals through progress reports or report cards.

Graduation Requirements represents the Board approved mandatory course of study by subject area that all students must complete in full in order to earn a diploma.

Ms. Zuly Quezada

About Me:

My name is Zuly Quezada and I am the new school counselor at High Desert School.  I have more than 20 years of experience working with “at risk” children and
families. Prior to my position at Acton-Agua Dulce School District, I worked as a K-12 school counselor, pre-licensed therapist, and social worker in different settings. I am of the belief that “it takes a village to raise a child,” and strive to build a comprehensive school counseling program that supports the academics and well-being of our
students; while enhancing the parenting skills of the community.

I am a lifelong learner who loves to travel and immerse myself in the richness of different cultures, beliefs, education and cuisines. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, and when I am not on the trails, I can often be found spending time with my adult children, reading about mental health, or keeping an organized and clean home.

Experience in Education:

20 years working with "at risk" students and families

Goals:

My goal for this year is to continue providing meaningful mental health support to our students while working alongside my team and our students to ensure that our school remains a safe, supportive, and empowering learning environment for all.
