Mental Health Program
Mission: AADUSD Mental Health Program mission is to provide access to direct mental health services to Acton-Agua Dulce Unified School District students, to promote and advance the safety, health, and overall well-being of each student.
Vision: To create a culture of safety and wellness at the Acton-Agua Dulce Unified School District and the community as a whole, focusing on mental health services, support, health education, and wellness events. We strive for all students to feel safe, respected, and valued, creating a school environment that promotes emotional well-being to sustain academic success and encourage lifelong achievement for students.
Services
The AADUSD Mental Health Program provides direct mental health therapy to students: face-to-face therapeutic sessions, and groups; training to all AADUSD staff on mental health and wellness psycho-education.
No Service Fees
The AADUSD received two grants: from the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Justice. The AADUSD Mental Health Program services are free of charge for all Acton-Agua Dulce Students who are referred to the program.
Referral Process
Parents, Teachers, School Administration, and staff can refer a student to receive mental health services and students can self-refer through AADUSD Mental Health Program. All parents or legal guardians will be contacted upon receiving the referral for the student and the mental health rights holder for the student must sign a consent form for the student can receive mental health services.
Community Partnering and Outreach
The AADUSD Mental Health Program partners with the community to bring awareness to mental health and collaborate on resources for our students.
Outside Referrals and Linkages
The AADUSD Mental Health Program provides referrals and linkages to outside agencies based on the needs of the students.
Meet the Team
Our mental health clinicians are highly trained social worker professionals. Our mental health clinicians utilize various intervention trainings that include CBITS, and Bounce Back. Our services are strength-based, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based.
