Our Mission
At Meadowlark Elementary, our mission is to provide a comprehensive education that honors the whole child. We aim to cultivate a sense of belonging, celebrate each student’s unique gifts, and prepare our learners for future success. Through innovative teaching practices and a commitment to excellence, we strive to equip our students with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Our Programs and Initiatives
Academic Excellence: Our dedicated teachers employ AVID strategies to ensure that all students are career and college ready. We focus on delivering high-quality learning experiences that challenge and engage our students, fostering a passion for discovery and growth.
Makerspace Lab: Our state-of-the-art Makerspace Lab is a creative haven where students can unleash their imaginations and tackle real-world design challenges. This hands-on learning environment encourages innovation and helps students develop critical problem-solving skills.
Music Education: Thanks to our partnership with ASMO, music is an integral part of our curriculum. Research shows that music enhances cognitive function and academic performance, and we are proud to offer our 3rd and 4th graders the opportunity to learn the ukulele, adding a melodious touch to their educational journey.
Social and Emotional Learning: Our counseling department is dedicated to supporting the social and emotional well-being of our students. Through lessons on bullying prevention, self-esteem building, and self-advocacy, we empower our students to navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience.
Community Engagement
At Meadowlark Elementary, we believe that a strong school community is the foundation of student success. Our active PTO and ELAC groups organize a variety of community events that bring families together and foster a sense of unity.
