California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP)
Each spring, students throughout California in grades 3-8 and grade 11 take the CAASPP tests in English Language Arts and math. Students in 5th, 8th, and once in high school also take the California Science Test (CAST). The education all students receive each year prepares them for these tests which are based on the Common Core State Standards. Most students take the tests within their own classrooms with their own teachers.
For the 2024-2025 school year, testing will take place from May 5 to May 16, 2025. Information will come to caregivers through regular mail and through email, phone calls, and text starting in March 2025. You will be able to view CAASPP results for individual students in AERIES.
