Our Super Scholar this week comes to school ready to learn and is always eager to help his friends out with a smile on his face. Congratulations to Max Davis in Mrs. Jacobsohn’s class. Way to go Max!

Parent Conferences are this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please make sure you have signed up for a time to meet with your teacher to discuss your child’s progress. If you still need to sign up, please contact your child’s teacher through email and she will let you know what times are available. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are also minimum days, so students will be dismissed at 12:40 on each of those days.

On Thursday, Meadowlark will be participating in the Great California ShakeOut Drill. All school sites will be conducting earthquake drills with appropriate responses and coordinating communication with the district office as well as first responders. This is an important drill that ensures our schools are prepared in case of an earthquake or similar emergency.

This Saturday is Vasquez High School’s annual Fall Festival. Come join in the fun and check out the amazing booths and silent auction baskets. It will be at Vasquez High School quad area this Saturday, October 19th from noon to 5:00. Hope to see you there!

Finally, I want to thank all of you for your patience as we dealt with circumstances that were unique and beyond our control. Decisions are always made thoughtfully with the safety of our staff and students as our top priority. We will continue to reflect on our policies to ensure that Meadowlark is a safe place to learn.
