Our Super Scholar this week is a student who works with Mrs. Newton. This student works hard to learn something new things every day. Congratulations to Angela Lomeli.

In TK, Mrs. Wadsworth would like to recognize Victoria H., Juliet B., and Santino S. as her Dojo winners. Congratulations to you all!

Don’t forget to turn in your ASMO nomination forms. ASMO is a wonderful program that supports music in our schools. Get involved and see how fun it is to be a part of this wonderful program!

We are continuing State Testing this week and the kids are doing such a great job of focusing and staying on task. We appreciate those of you who make sure to send your 3rd and 4th graders every day and on time during this important testing window.

Speaking of attendance, don’t forget that this month is Attendance Awareness Month. All students that attend school on time, every day will participate in an ice cream social given by our Superintendent, Mr. King. What a yummy way to celebrate perfect attendance and reinforce the importance of education!

This week is also Staff Appreciation week. Thank you to our ELAC parents and PTO who donate food, drinks, gifts, but mostly, their time, to honor our staff members. I want to recognize the hard work and dedication  that everyone at Meadowlark has for the students. Our Office Staff, Yard Supervisors, Instructional Aides, Cafeteria Staff, Maintenance and Custodial Staff, Special Services staff, and of course, our teachers, deserve a big thank you for all they do for our kids. Thank you!

If you would like to relax and enjoy some fine music and entertainment, go to the Heard Concert this Thursday and/or Friday night at Vasquez High School. It’s guaranteed to be a fun, family event!
