I hope you all enjoyed your week off and are ready to start the week with a renewed energy!

Our student council has been recycling plastic water bottles to do their part in saving the earth. If you would like to drop off your water bottles, there is a recycling box near the office where you can place your donation. Thank you for supporting our student council!

ASMO is electing new officers for next year. Please watch for the ballot and nominate someone, even yourself, who is interested in becoming a part of this amazing organization.

May is Attendance Awareness month at Meadowlark. We are encouraging all students to attend school on time, every day. Students that have perfect attendance for the month of May will be treated to a special ice cream social sponsored by our Superintendent, Mr. King. Research shows that attendance is directly related to the academic success of students. It also teaches students responsibility and emphasizes the importance of education. We thank you for your efforts in ensuring your child attends school on time, every day.

Our state testing, also known as CAASPP, begins this week and for the next 2 weeks for 3rd and 4th graders. We had an exciting kick-off rally today, to let the students know that everyone at Meadowlark is rooting for them!  It is very important that your child get a good night’s rest and eat a healthy breakfast so your child can do their best. The teachers have taught them a lot this year, and the students have worked hard to learn, and this is their time to shine! Again, daily attendance is important so that your child doesn’t miss this important testing window.
