Wednesday, November 11th is Veterans Day and there will be no school. Here are some interesting facts about this federal holiday: Veterans Day occurs on November 11th every year in the United States in honor of the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month” of 1918 that signaled the end of World War 1, also known as Armistice Day. Did you know that Veterans Day does not have an apostrophe in it. It honors all veterans, not just one in particular, so for all of you 4th graders out there, you know why there’s no apostrophe! Finally, take some time to honor and thank our military service persons past and present. We thank you for your service!

Thank you for listening and have a good evening.
