Monday Message November 2, 2020

Good evening Meadowlark families, this is Mrs. Toledo with your Monday Message.

Thank you for your patience last week as we worked through the power outages. Although events like this are beyond our control, our staff worked hard to ensure that learning continued. Please be sure you know where the “Power Outage” folder is on your teacher’s Google classroom and download that so there will always be something for your child to work on should emergencies such as the power outage occur.

Voting is available for community members at Meadowlark school in the MPR through tomorrow, November 3rd. Please follow the signs and safety procedures that are posted.

Vasquez High School 10th graders are having a fundraiser tonight, so if you haven’t gotten dinner yet, head on over to the Pizza Factory and order anything on the menu until 8:00pm tonight. Proceeds will benefit VHS Class of 2023. Be sure to mention Vasquez High School when placing your order.

As many of you know, I will be leaving my position at Meadowlark School to focus on my, and my family’s healing. I very much appreciate the support of the Meadowlark staff and district office personnel for their constant support, love, and encouragement. I also want to share my appreciation to all of you, the families and community friends of Acton and Agua Dulce. It has been an honor to serve as Meadowlark’s Principal and I will always treasure my memories here.

I am happy to introduce Mrs. Paula Saavedra as Meadowlark’s new Principal. Mrs. Saavedra comes with many years of administrative experience and more importantly, an understanding of how special Meadowlark School is. I will continue to support our school until Mrs. Saavedra comes on board on November 10th. I know you will join me in welcoming Mrs. Saavedra to Meadowlark.

Thank you for listening and have a good evening.
