Beginning with the end in mind, my priority as Superintendent of Acton-Agua Dulce School District is to serve as a catalyst for positive change. Our district is on the brink of a new era, with a renewed spirit that nothing is impossible! This fresh vision is founded on our community’s century old traditions, strengthened by a fervent belief that each child is entitled to a quality education that seeks the truth in knowledge and promotes a better human understanding.
As we prepare our students to achieve their highest degree of potential, it is imperative that we begin a nurturing, caring community, where all students help one another grow. Our developing district offers two celebrated Elementary Schools, a nationally recognized Middle School and a prominent comprehensive High School. As we look at our school community, we wholeheartedly embrace a fundamental set of core values that help establish a more respectful, caring, responsible, trustworthy community. As a parent, you are the best expert on your child’s needs. If you feel that a home setting would be the optimal environment for your child’s education, I highly recommend our new AADUSD Virtual Learning Academy. This unique opportunity will empower you to formulate and monitor your child’s curriculum, while infusing your own personal home school philosophy. Our District will provide you with the support and encouragement to effectively educate your child at home. Although not for every student, this program can also be adapted to allow a blended academic day. This might include a combination of home school virtual classes and on site school classes that would allow your child interaction with their peers. As an AADUSD Virtual Learning Academy student your child will be welcome to participate in all school activities, clubs and sports. This will provide your student a well-rounded school experience that will cultivate their imagination and build on their talents and interests.
